Baby Loss Awareness Week

Neville Funerals is actively involved in providing free bereavement services across all its communities, for those experiencing loss or who need some advice to manage grief. Unfortunately, restrictions because of COVID-19, has meant that these face-to-face forums, alongside other services, have not been able to take place. This interruption in care has more wide-ranging affects. Loneliness and isolation can have a real impact on health and wellbeing so campaigns that highlight these issues, provide a valuable service, which we should champion on their behalf.

This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week, during which The Baby Loss Awareness Week Alliance aims to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss, providing support to anyone affected (including partners, family members and friends) and working with health services to improve bereavement care. This area of support can often be complex, and not considered enough within the workplace. Returning to work following pregnancy or baby loss, can be daunting both for the employer and employee, so #BLAW2020 is an opportunity to discover new resources that can help support bereaved employees, emotionally and practically.
