Over the last week we have been supporting the Dying Matters awareness week with a variety of events. Our coffee morning was a great success and a huge thanks to Keech Hospice and Autism Bedfordshire who came along to chat with staff and visitors, sharing information and advice.
We also attended two Bedfordshire Archives & Records Service events at Luton and Bedford Central Libraries. As a long term partner, we were invited to support their selection of talks themed around wills, funeral registers, eulogies and memorials that underlined their importance to our view of the past.
Over the two days, a variety of people stopped to say hello, chat and find out more about what was happening. It’s always good to get into the community and this week has offered a great opportunity to demonstrate the importance of talking about dying, death and bereavement.
