Our sister company, Neville Special Projects, has started work at our Hemel Hempstead branch to refurbish the first floor to make additional office and staff space, which also necessitates a small extension and new staircase. At the same time we are making some changes on the ground floor to update the space there. The work will be completed by the end of August.
Last week the foundations were dug for the extension and the team found an old well. Branch Coordinator, Pauline Crumpton said “Hemel has a lot of old tunnels, rumoured to allow the King of the day to travel in safety to St Albans Cathedral… or if the rumours of Henry VIII using them are true, to allow him to secretly meet Anne Boleyn #everydayisalearningday!”
