Apprentice Memorial Mason

Our Memorials team play an important part in helping to meet our customers’ requirements and needs. We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Memorial Mason, who is willing to learn and has an eye for detail to join our close-knit team based in Shefford, Bedfordshire.

Behind the scenes, our Memorials team deliver the most beautiful and sometimes unique headstones for our customers, so it’s a really satisfying and important role.

ROLE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Fixing and removing memorials and headstones.
  • Using tools required to achieve a professional end result for our customers.
  • Assisting Memorials Masons with work where needed in multiple locations across our area of business coverage
  • Willing to learn the trade of memorial masonry over the period of our in house apprenticeship scheme
  • Working in accordance with the NAMM Code of Working Practice, company guidelines and health and safety requirements.

EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Be happy to work in all weathers
  • Work well in a close-knit team and be happy to assist others where needed.
  • Be physically capable to carry out lifting of items and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

We welcome applications from 16 years upwards but all applicants will be considered on merit.

  • GCSE English and Maths Level 4 (Grade C) or above is a mandatory requirement
  • Must be eligible to live, work and remain in England, within 1 hour’s commute of our head office at Luton
