Full Time Memorial Fixer/Fitter

This post includes the removal and fixing of memorials to the highest standards in accordance with the NAMM Code of Working Practice, Company guidelines and Health and Safety requirements.

 

The post holder will report to the Masonry Foreman in order to ensure the smooth operation of the memorial yard.

 

The post holder will have some experience of the memorial industry and will have completed and passed a recognised qualification in the fitting and fixing of a memorial, or be prepared to be trained in all aspects of the job.

 

Memorial Fitter/Fixer Duties:

  • Fix memorials in accordance with instructions given – To ensure that all memorials are safely fixed in accordance with any industry standards and company policy.
  • Driving to and from cemeteries throughout Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire.
  • Removal – to move memorial from the grave back to the premises when instructed to do so.
  • Collecting memorials from storage at various locations.
  • Memorial yard – ensure the yard is kept tidy at all times.
  • Checking deliveries and ensuring that memorials and materials are stored in their designated areas.
  • To ensure that work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Cleaning of memorial headstones and tending to graves.
  • To keep tools, equipment and workrooms in good and clean condition and stored safely.
  • To abide by all health and safety and company guidelines.

 

Memorial Fitter/Fixer Requirements (the holder of this post will possess:

  • Full Clean Driving License.
  • NAMM and or BRAMM Fixers License or be willing to gain one whilst in employment.
  • A good team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in heavy lifting work and good awareness of manual handling.
  • Ability to work outside in all weathers.

Salary pay bandings: £25,396.80 – £25,979.20

 

Standard hours of work are 7.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
