Arranging a funeral

At a very emotional time you are being asked to make a host of decisions that you had probably never thought about before. At Neville Funerals we will do what we can to make the process easier and provide you with as much information as you need to arrange a funeral that is a fitting tribute for your loved one.

In the first instance you will need to decide on whether the person who has died is to be buried or cremated. This choice will be influenced by a number of factors including the wishes of the person who has died and their personal beliefs.

Our skilled and experienced team will take you through all the arrangements and answer any questions you may have. You can meet with us either by coming to our offices or we will arrange to visit you at home. It is helpful if you have in mind some of the decisions you may need to make when arranging a funeral.

There may be things particular to your circumstances that have not been included in this list, but it is a good start. For the arrangement meeting with us you will need to have considered the following points:

Arranging a funeral checklist

  • Did the deceased have a faith or religion or would they have preferred a non-faith or Humanist funeral service? Had they expressed any wishes regarding this?
  • Would you like your loved one to be dressed in their own clothes or would you prefer a gown supplied by us?
  • You may like to use our Online Donations Service. See here an example of a current funeral with Online Donations
  • You may like to use our service chapel at Luton Leagrave funeral home
  • The funeral notice will be listed in our Current Funerals on this website, unless you wish otherwise
  • You may like to use our catering service at Luton Leagrave funeral home

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who dealt with the arrangements at this sad time for us.  Everyone was so kind and helpful.
