Neville Funerals, a family funeral firm serving Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire has promoted Branch Manager, Matthew Mew, to Senior Branch Manager for the business as part of our ongoing development of our senior management team.
Matthew, who is local to the Shefford area, joined the company in 2013 as a driver bearer. With the support of the company, Matt has since completed his NAFD Funeral Diploma, qualifying him as a Funeral Director. He has been the Branch Manager for Shefford and Hitchin for the past 4 years, having previously worked at our Bedford office. Matt is well placed to drive the business forward, as well as providing the necessary community support for bereaved families.
On his promotion, Matt said: “My career with Neville Funerals so far has taught me a lot about compassion, particularly at times of loss. One of my new responsibilities at Neville Funerals will be providing better support for our General Manager, Lee Pedley, in reviewing working practices and developing the business.
“As a community-minded, professional company with many local sponsorship initiatives, it’s exciting to be building on this experience and overseeing the evolution of the business.”

Matthew takes up the role from the Marsh Road Headquarters in Luton. His many years’ experience across the wider business positions him well for progressing the business, developing interesting new projects and overseeing the company’s evolution.
